Our Yoga

Kali Yoga offers a wide variety of classes.  Whether you are a beginner or an advanced yoga practitioner, we offer classes to help you find your balance between challenge and ease.


Hatha

Hatha Yoga classes are geared for beginners with many variations given so that more advanced students will also enjoy ~ be challenged ~ in the class.

Each class consists of:

  • Pranayama (Breathing Exercise): to cleanse the body and mind
  • Asana (Postures): to strengthen, improve flexibility, and bring balance to the body
  • Shavasana (Relaxation): to revitalize, rejuvenate and heal the body and mind.Intro to Hatha/ Flow: is geared for students who have little or no experience in hatha/flow yoga, or for those who are interested in reviewing or gaining deeper knowledge of breathing and postures.

Hatha to Flow can be quite a jump in levels of intensity. Intro to flow is a class to better prepare the body for Vinyasa Flow classes. Gaining a deeper understanding of synchronizing each movement with your breath, getting to know the sun salutations at a  slower pace, breaking down the alignment to better prepare the body for Flow.( Some experience with hatha classes needed)


Flow

Flow classes are geared for students who are looking for a faced paced yoga class. Students must be experienced in yoga and know the proper alignment for postures. Faster-paced than a hatha class, the flow yoga class works the cardiovascular system and incorporates the sun salutation series in a dynamic flow (shorter rest periods) of postures.


Family

Our family classes are for the whole family to connect and practice yoga in a fun loving way. Keeping it playful still with a grounded flow!! All ages welcome!


Kids

Come stand like like a mountain, flow like the river, roar like a lion in our kids yoga class. A free flowing class with lots of imagination, some days we travel to the moon and back! (4-9yrs of age.)


Pre-natal

PrenatalPre-natal classes are to honour and welcome the journey of this beautiful being growing inside you! To leave your busy days behind you and unwind as we strengthen and relax the entire body. Vocal toning and going through organic movements to prepare the body for birth. Very intimate class where all is discussed!!! Love Makes the belly go round.


Mama n Baby

Come practice yoga with baby. After giving birth the best way to strenghthen is through gentleness. Focusing on the low back, abdominal and shoulders. Bringing our bodies back to their most natural state. Baby can lay beside you, sleep all class, stop to feed or cry the entire time. This class is totallty unpredictable and anything goes. (pre crawling babies only)


Pre natal and Tot

There are so many classes to do with your first born, swimming, running, yoga, meet n greet…… and the list goes on!!! What do you do when you have two, three or four babies. Come join us in our pre natal n tot. While dad is at work come and play. Flowing through yoga class with your growing belly and making connections to baby within and baby already born. (All ages and babies welcome)


Restorative

RestorativeA very gentle, calming class supporting the body in every posture using props. For bodies who have experienced any form of trauma to the body, recent surgery or accident. Or just to experience a very deep relaxed state of being. All are welcome!


Nia yoga

Done barefoot to diverse and inspiring music, Nia is a transformational movement practice that teaches you to be more JOYFUL, EXPRESSIVE, and ALIVE in your body, both inside and outside of the studio. Nia is holistic: it engages your body, mind, emotions and spirit. Nia draws from dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts to create purposeful movement. Purposeful movement helps you connect to your body empowering you to grow and learn in Your Body’s Way.
